Julia Dreams a World...

So I dreamed a little dream

I have no idea why...but the muse who follow me around sent me a compelling dream story and I cannot leave it. I'm skipping my usual bedtime to stay up writing - geez! I sound like Fran Lee! Even when my eyelids are at half-mast, I can't stop, the story just keeps coming! Wow. It's a pretty awesome experience. It happened before with My Everything.

This is what I get for ignoring the muse last week. He/She sent me a dream and I woke up thinking - I really should haul myself out of bed at 4 a.m. to write this down before I forget it, but I didn't. I'll remember it, I thought. Sure enough, when I woke up, I only remembered that I'd dreamed a dream and intended to remember it but forgot it completely.

That's me, by the way, climbing in the Outer Hebrides last September. How I miss Scotland! See? Red hair!

  1. Love the red hair! I've had that happen to me so many times I could scream. I suppose we have to be like Fran and drag our butts out of bed and get the words down!

  2. I love when a story just materializes on its own... a fabulous experience. And I'm so jealous... I'd love to go to Scotland... perhaps I'll dream a little dream tonight too:D

  3. Kris - the Highlands are amazing. If I could live near Inverness, I would. I would move in a second! Keep dreaming!

  4. Thanks for the pic, Red! LOL. No, don't kill me. You probably hear that all the time. I do the same damn thing with the dreams. It'll be so good, so compelling that I know I could never forget it but I always do.

  5. Love it, Reggie! Red is good. My favorite secondary character in Cara calls my heroine Red. Love it when he does that! Isn't it a bitch when you forget to remember?!?

  6. I'll have you know, little missy red-head, that I actually got to bed before 6:30 a.m. this morning...and then the 3-inch tall black furball I just adopted started yipping to go outside and pee. His idea of "time to get up" is waaay different than mine! LOL!

    Great photo, BTW!
